APOSTLES AND BAPTISMS MAKE FOR A GREAT WEEK!

HELLLOOO ALL.

We have living apostles and prophets and miracles do not cease to exist! God still loves and still wants to lead and guide us!

Elder Holland came and spoke at Stake Conference and I honestly don't think I or the investigators that came will ever be the same. It was such an amazing experience that I really do not think I can put it all into words. Basically, if I ever had a doubt in my mind about their being modern day apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth today, I most certainly do not now. Saturday and Sunday are days that I seriously will never forget! We were sitting next to Alicia for the Saturday night session and she just turns to us at the end of the session and says " WOW. That was amazing."

This past weekend felt like a year and a half! It was jam packed full of craziness and joy and overwhelmingly awesome miracles!

Alejandra and Alexander got baptized this weekend! We had two separate services for them since they were baptized into different wards.

Alejandra's baptism was so spiritual. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. We did the whole thing in Spanish so her family that skyped in from Bolivia could understand. She walked into the chapel that morning and she just radiated pure joy. I have never seen anyone so excited to be baptized before! She was a completely different person than when we started teaching her. Her testimony is so strong and earlier this week she told us that she is so excited to be just like us in a few years and SERVE A MISSION!!! ahhh!

Alexander was also really excited that he said he couldn't even sleep the night before! He was completely welcomed in my the YSA and we are so excited for him! He knows that he has so much more to learn and become and we are really excited to help him! He was also baptized with some from the Portuguese branch in our stake so it was a cool bilingual experience! President Garns was there and it was awesome!

We are so excited for Alicia! She is getting baptized next weekend and is SO READY! She has such an amazing testimony! Her and Fredi should be getting married in Utah in September/October and they are so excited too! I can’t wait for their sealing in a year!!!

We are also teaching a man with severe cerebra-palsy. We had an incredible lesson with him last night. I will write more about him next week!

"And they were among the people of Nephi, and also numbered among the people who were of the church of God. And they were also distinguished for their ZEAL towards God, and also towards men; for they were perfectly HONEST and upright in all things; and they were FIRM in the faith of Christ, even unto the end."

May we be zealous, honest and firm in the faith until the end!

I love you all and pray for you every day! Have a great week!!!!

JENFIERI ROUND 2!

WE ARE STAYING TOGETHER!!!! Sister Jensen and I are so excited that we get to stay together for another transfer in Boynton Beach (aka the Miracle factory). The work is progressing so well here and we are seriously the "dream team". Our ward was praying for the past week that we would stay together--- and they were answered!

This week was so great!

Alejandra is so excited for her baptism on Saturday and so are we! She is just so awesome you guys. She is so excited for change her life and knows without a doubt that it’s the right thing! We will also have her whole family in Bolivia Skype in for the service, so hopefully all goes well.

We will actually be having another baptism this Saturday also. Our dear YSA friend Alexander. It’s a realllllly long story with him that I’ll try to explain more next week. He just kinda "popped up" and has the most pure desires to change his life and come unto Christ. He has had the most insane life. I can’t imagine half of the things that he has been though. We are excited for him as well!

Alicia is still progressing super well. She went and found authentic Turkish Delights for us since she’s from Turkey, they were actually pretty good! She is SO READY for he baptism on the 26th. We talk all the time about how her entire continence has changed since the first day we met her. She just looks and talks and acts different now. ITS AMAZING.

Also, ELDER HOLLAND WILL BE HERE ALL WEEKEND!!!!!!! I am so excited we seriously tell every single person we meet. We get to sit in the front with our recent converts and other friends. I can’t wait!

We saw a really cool miracle this week! We were walking up to visit one of our friends and we saw a woman backing out of her driveway so we ran over there and motioned to her that we wanted to speak to her. She rolled down the window and we quickly talked to her explaining who we are, etc. She had to go but we felt inspired to get a return appointment. We came back for the return appointment and as we walk in, sitting right on her table is a Book of Mormon. Turns out 2 other sister missionaries about 2 years ago stopped her as she was pulling out of her driveway and gave her a Book of Mormon and they never came back. After talking to her for a while and answering all the questions that she has had for the past TWO YEARS, she is really excited for us to come back and help her prepare to be baptized!

Guys, life is just so good. Hard work but immense joy. I know that this church is true. I am excited for the miracles that are in store from doing nothing but the Lords work!

Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I love you, and so does our Savior and our Heavenly Father! Nothing can separate that!

I pray for you every day! Have a great week!!!

MLC CHANGED MY LIFE!

Hello all!

This week was super awesome. I feel like it changed my entire outlook as a missionary. It just kinda adjusted the trajectory that my mission was heading and made me realize how much more I can "milk" out of my mission.

On Friday we had MLC, Mission Leadership Council, where all the mission leaders get together and receive training, talk about the mission, etc. This one was apparently different than any of the other ones in the past (also the first one I’ve ever been to). We truly counseled all together about our mission goals in the same way that it speaks of in the scriptures. The spirit was so strong. At one point in the council we were all on our knees praying together. Imagine that, 20-30 missionaries in one room on their knees praying to our Heavenly Father, asking him what we should do. It was so powerful.

We are also really shifting our focus on teaching repentance. Sister Jensen and I have been applying everything we learned this week and have already seen a huge change in us and especially in the people we teach. I love these people. I sincerely and absolutely love and care for them.

Right now, we are teaching this 17 year old girl from Bolivia. She is the sister of the Lopez family in our ward who is seriously my mom and dad out here. I get to speak spanish with her and translate everything at church for her. It’s been the best thing ever. Last night she told us how she just love us so much. She said that as soon as we walk through the door to teach her every day she just feels so light. She is amazing and is set to be baptized this upcoming weekend but we've had to overcome a lot of concerns so we are praying for the best!

Alicia is still so amazing! She has been going through so much but her faith has never been stronger! We are so excited for their wedding. Fredi is seriously our best friend. We got this text from them last night about how they went a picked up a woman from off the street and drove her home because Alicia learned about service at church. She also made sure to get her direction and phone number so we could go teach her! SHES SO GREAT!!!

This week flew by! I am so blessed to be out here and meet all these people. I feel so lucky to learn from them and just be their friend!

I love you all and pray for you every day! Have a great week!!!!
